Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August, 2026
Last Updated: August, 2026
Muse values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Muse collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, sign up for updates, respond to surveys, participate in research, or otherwise interact with us before our full product launch.
This Privacy Policy applies to our website, waitlist, email communications, research invitations, surveys, and other pre-launch communications. As Muse develops and launches additional products, features, mobile applications, creator tools, business tools, affiliate commerce features, or personalized shopping experiences, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect how those services collect and use information.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you choose to provide directly to us, including:
name,
email address,
phone number, if provided,
location or market, if provided,
age range or demographic information, if provided,
creator, brand, boutique, or business information, if provided,
survey responses,
research feedback,
waitlist preferences,
comments, messages, or other information you send to us.
We may also collect limited information automatically when you visit our website, such as:
IP address,
browser type,
device type,
pages visited,
referring links,
general usage activity,
cookie or analytics data.
At this pre-launch stage, Muse should avoid collecting sensitive information unless absolutely necessary. The CCPA treats certain categories — including precise geolocation, account login credentials, financial account information, health information, biometric information, and certain demographic categories — as sensitive personal information, so those should be avoided unless legal and technical controls are ready.
How We Use Information
Muse may use the information we collect to:
manage the waitlist,
send product updates and launch news,
invite you to participate in surveys, research, beta testing, or feedback cohorts,
better understand potential users, creators, brands, boutiques, and businesses,
improve our website, messaging, product direction, and user experience,
respond to questions or requests,
measure website performance,
protect against spam, fraud, misuse, or security issues,
comply with legal obligations.
Marketing Communications
If you join the Muse waitlist or sign up for updates, we may send you emails about Muse, including product updates, launch news, early access opportunities, research invitations, and marketing communications.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us at [privacy@muse.com]. The FTC’s CAN-SPAM guidance requires marketing emails to include a clear opt-out mechanism, and opt-out requests must be honored within 10 business days.
Research and Feedback Invitations
Because Muse is currently shaping its product and founding community, we may invite waitlist members to participate in surveys, interviews, prototype reviews, beta testing, or feedback cohorts.
Participation in research is optional. If we ask for additional information during a survey, interview, or beta program, we will use that information to improve Muse, better understand user needs, and guide product development.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We use the information we collect to operate Muse, communicate with you, improve the product, personalize future experiences, and support our business in the ways described in this Privacy Policy.
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate our website, manage the waitlist, send emails, conduct surveys, analyze site performance, or support our business operations. These may include email platforms, website hosting providers, analytics tools, survey tools, CRM systems, and other operational partners.
We may also share information if required to comply with law, respond to legal requests, protect Muse’s rights or users, prevent fraud or misuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Cookies and Analytics
Muse may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to understand how visitors use our website, improve performance, and measure interest in Muse.
My recommendation: keep tracking simple for now. Use basic analytics and avoid aggressive retargeting pixels until your privacy policy, cookie banner, consent settings, and data-sharing disclosures are fully reviewed. If you use tools like Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads, or other advertising trackers, you may need stronger disclosures and privacy-choice controls because some state privacy laws treat certain advertising data transfers as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to manage the waitlist, provide updates, conduct research, develop Muse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and support legitimate business purposes.
You may request that we delete your information by contacting us at [privacy@muse.com].
Your Choices
You may:
unsubscribe from marketing emails,
request that we update your information,
request that we delete your information,
ask questions about how your information is used.
To make a request, contact us at privacy@muse.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable state, national, or international privacy laws. California’s CCPA, for example, gives covered consumers rights related to knowing, deleting, correcting, and limiting certain uses of personal information, and businesses subject to the law must provide notices at collection.
Children’s Privacy
Muse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
This is important because COPPA applies to websites and online services directed to children under 13, or services that have actual knowledge they are collecting personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no website, platform, or electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Links
Our website or communications may link to third-party websites, platforms, social media pages, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Muse evolves, including when we launch new features, mobile applications, creator tools, business tools, commerce features, affiliate partnerships, personalization features, or other services.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
